I went to a meetup with shoot miami tonight with a fashion photographer Armando Ferrer. It was pretty good, he found out first hand the casualties of color calibration between Mac and PC based machines. It is Horrible but some of the shots were very well composed. I think that what it really boils down to is your ability to network and market yourself. The better you are at it the more money you will make. The one thing that is a continual impress upon me is the mantra shoot often. The more you shoot the better you get. At Light Study shooting in the studio gives you an opportunity to understand what light is doing so that you can better manipulate it regardless of the circumstances. The more I shoot the more I understand how important lighting is and I begin my drive to shoot it better and better. This photo is fine, but I think that I would have rather had my eyes sharper and probably would have worked on it more if it weren't that I wanted to upload it to the 365 Gallery before midnight. Good thing the timer starts when you start typing and uploading otherwise I would have been over time. Some of you have expressed an interest in doing a camera settings class. If this is something that appeals to you then please drop me an email and I will put something together.
