If you are new or have thought about coming to one of our little workshops (or haven't been in a while) I would like to take some time to explain somethings. Where ever you are in your photography expertise you can get something out of this group. There is no starting point, only continual progression at becoming better. Life happens and people fall into and out of the workshop at random (like all Meetups) so we have adopted the philosophy of "Each one Teach one". Don't know how to work your camera? Bring it. Don't know anything about lighting come anyway you will leave with something that you can use in your photography today. That being said welcome to Light Study get involved and you will see your photography improve.
The Study
During The Study workshops we will be examining different kinds of lighting styles and going over theory of compositional and design elements. Attributes of these classes will be used throughout all of the scheduled shoots that we do.
In our lighting workshops we will use elements of all of the techniques that we have learned to create a special image that we have designed in production. In this class project ideas will be examined and feasibility done. Over the next couple of weeks the elements of making the shot a success will be put together culminating in the final produced image. This process will include set design, wardrobe, props and make-up. During this period we will arrange and acquire the necessary elements for the shoot.
The Lesson Plan topic will be placed online prior to class.
Everyone is invited to add concept ideas to the Creative Juices Gallery. We will use this gallery to draw upon ideas for the production shoots that you would like to do.
