The Lab is a hands-on workshop of the lighting style taught about in The Study. The models will be classmates and everyone will be involved in the build. The light will be tweaked until perfected and each member time permitting will have time to shoot the final build.

If you missed The Study attend anyway as the concepts in lighting will overlap somewhat and you will pick up tricks that you may not have thought about. We will teach as we go as we obtain the final image.

Class Outline:
Review the groups decision on the production concept shot. Please keep in mind that the group can and will produce an image that you would like in your portfolio so feel free to vote for production images that you would like to do yourself for your own portfolio.

Short discussion of the desired product and review of comparable images if available.

Begin with the build of the shoot.

Post images that you would like to do in the Creative Juices Gallery or bring in tear-outs from magazines of something that you would like to shoot. This is where Light Study pushes further by stretching the limits of our photography.

Create Images using the lighting styles and concepts from the last class. You can use yourself as a model or a friend. Upload images of the day to the Project365 Gallery (Not mandatory but highly recommended).

Select and post one image of your own to the For Critique Gallery.
